When and how long can a driver drive for ? The european standard CE561 on driving and rest times for drivers

On 15th May 2006, to ensure greater transport safety, the European Parliament introduced a series of rules regulating driving times and rest periods for drivers in charge of heavy vehicles (Regulation CE561).

Therefore, bus journey schedules (vehicles with more than 9 seats or a gross weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes) must take this Regulation into account.

To assist our customers in planning their trips we have compiled a summary of Regulation CE561. For more information, see the complete Regulation.
